Hi Joey,

Yes, this product annihilated all flea life (mature biting) fleas, eggs, larvae, and pupae. Make sure you treat your animals as well. I used Advantage II on my dogs, along with this product. Also remember to vacuum often. This will awaken the pre-adult fleas to emerge from their protective cocoons so they can be killed. Make sure you do not walk on your carpet or use your bedding until this product is dry. I also steam cleaned afterward to ensure all the chemicals were removed. Hang in there! You are smarter than they are!!

This one doesn't have residual killing, so you'll have to re-treat as needed. Our Hot Shot Bedbug & Flea Home Insect Killer controls listed insects on contact and up to four months, though. You can use it to spot treat for bedbugs on your mattress and box spring, too. You can learn more here: http://www.hotshot.com/~/media/Hot%...

Question

Residual or Not?

You answered a question on this website that this product does not last and has no residual killing power. Then also include this link in that same paragraph: http://www.hotshot.com/~/media/Hot%20Shot/Files/Labels/Bedbug/071121958617.ashx On this link you clearly say it's for, "For residual and contact control of bedbugs,...." Which is it? Does this product have residual killing effect when left on surfaces or not?

You should spray this product until the treated surfaces are damp. If you use it as directed, that might harm your books or papers. If it's reasonable to do so, sealing your books and papers in plastic and laying them outside to heat in the sun might do the trick; extreme cold such as a freezer will also kill bedbugs.

Yes, you can spray directly on mattresses and bedding. We would spray the sheets, then wash and dry them on the highest heat setting the fabric can withstand. Spray your mattress and comforter (anything that can't be washed) and allow to air dry completely before using them.

This is not a space spray, so you can ventilate the room immediately after applying. Generally, moving to another room is sufficient, but it might not hurt to leave your home for a couple of hours if you can smell the product in an adjacent area.
