My Brother put this product on the Kitchen Cabinet shelves, not just in the corners but on the shelves. He then put paper towels on the shelves so the dishes: plates, bowls, cups, ect., would not actually touch the product. He thinks that we will be safe if we just wash each dish before using it. Is this a safe practise for this product?

Question

will this product bleach clothing?

i have a storage unit these bugs have gotten into. I'm worried that eventhough we are using the foggers as well as the powder it will not get deep enough into my summer clothing boxes (large boxes) to kill them so I am going to empty the contents of each box after dusting with the powder. is it safe for my clothing to come into contact as long as I thoroughly wash them before wearing them?

As long as you open your boxes before fogging, the fogger should be sufficient. If you still want to use the powder, though, it is probably ok for your clothing. The only ingredients in this product are boric acid and water, and boric acid is often used as a laundry additive. We would advise you to do some research on your particular fabrics first, however.

No, it's not a bait. The powder creates a barrier through which roaches and other bugs must crawl -- that's why it's a good idea to apply it in common areas where roaches live and breed. We do make a MaxAttrax Roach Bait too, if you'd rather use that method: http://www.hotshot.com/Products-and.... Both are effective.

Question

Will it kill Mice or Rats?

I had a weird situation. I bought the Ant Bait product about a week ago along with mouse and rat poison, fly tape and Mouse Traps. We have been having a problem with a mouse. I'm a regional truck driver. I am gone for about 4 days at a time and I forgot to put any of it out. My wife went through the closest where we put the stuff at and discovered the mouse had eaten through the box, through the plastic wrapper, through the plastic container and ate whatever was inside of the bait trap. Now we are wondering if it would have killed it or if it would have to eat more of it over a longer period of time to kill it. I did and didn't want to poison it because I don't want it dieing in the house. We actually live in a trailer and were not sure if it's nesting inside the trailer somewhere or if it's coming in from the outside. I sealed up all the holes and etc that I could find from the water pipes and etc but we still keep seeing it every so often. The ant trap was only discovered last night and my wife seen it last night so we don't know if it ate it last night or earlier in the week. The poison was a last resort thing but looks like we may not have a choice now. If it killed it, it killed it, problem solved for the most part.

What is safest way to clean up this product when done?

I have an unused room that I treated by putting a line of this product across the doorway (can't be seen when door closed). What is safest way to clean this up, bearing in mind that we have dogs, and I am afraid a vacuum will allow some of it to be blown out into areas that the dogs have access to?
